Ajax comfortably defeated FC Emmen 5-0 at the Johan Cruijff Arena. A brace from Klaas Jan Huuntelaar, goals from Dusan Tadic, Hakim Ziyech and Donny Van de Beek handed Ajax the win.
It was a much welcomed clean sheet for their 23 year old Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana who looked to be suffering a deep in form.

Though he kept a clean sheet against PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch Super Cup, many observers were beginning to see a drop of confidence in the Masia graduate.
