South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns have become the first side to beat TP Mazembe at home and away in the CAF Champions League since 1983.
A 28th minute strike from Maboe was all Sundowns needed in their match-day four fixture to back home all three points and complete the double over Mazembe which they had beaten last week in Libumbashi.
The win confirmed Sundowns superiority in group B as they have reached the quarter-finals of the competition after registering four wins in four games.
Tuesday was another special night for the Brazilians as they break another record.
Winning in Lubumbashi break an 11-year record but the double meant Downs become just the first team to do so since Petro Luanda did with the same scoreline 33 years ago.
