Ghana Football Association has charged Accra Hearts of Oak for breaching the Covid-19 protocols in their week 11 league game against their City Rivals on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
Hearts of Oak hosted Accra Great Olympics in the game which was dubbed ‘Mantse Derby’ which they lost by 2-0 to the visitors.
Even though the FA has given percentage of supporters who can be at the match venues due to the Corona Virus, Hearts of Oak allowed more than the expected number with violation of all the other protocols according to the FA.
In view of that, the GFA has referred them to the Disciplinary Committee of the Assocation for hearing.
However, the team has been asked to play without their fans until the final hearing is done by the disciplinary committee.
The FA has further cautioned all the other clubs to be causious and observe the Covid-19 protocols.
