Indomitable Lions striker, Njie Clinton, has reassured Cameroonians and his fans in particular that he is in good physical and mental shape. Kick442.com gathered from the Dynamo Moscow goal poacher’s Cameroon based media relations assistant, Rene Katche, shortly after the formal tested positive to the covid-19 on Saturday evening. In a statement, Njie said, “I’m OK, do not bother all will be fine with me…tell them not to be afraid”.
Clint, as he is affectionately called, revealed in his characteristic joviality that he is physically and mentally strong, adding that he will strictly follow medical protocol with the assistance of his Dynamo Moscow medical staff.
Njie also revealed that he is self isolating in his Moscow residence where he is comfortable, and that every other related medical test including cardiac is negative. “I’m fine and comfortable at my home, so don’t be scared”, the former Tottenham winger assured.
Through a video call Saturday evening, Njie Clinton spoke with his family including his mom and siblings who had been very worried. “I called to reassure them that I’m in good shape, and that they shouldn’t be worried”,
“We spoke, had fun and they prayed for me”, Njie told his media assistant.
The former Lyon and Olympique Marseille striker will miss his team’s first post coronavirus league game against Krasnodar this Sunday, along side four of his team mates who have also tested positive of the virus.
Dynamo Moscow are seventh on the log with 30 points.
In the mean time, Russia confirmed 7,889 new coronavirus infection on Saturday alone, and this brings the country’s official number of cases to 576,952.
