Done Deal: Joseph Yanki finally moves to Europe, reactions
Joseph Bah Yanki- arguably Cameroon’s most talented footballer of the 21st century never to play in Europe has finally secured a move to Europe.

The former Cotonsport of Garoua and Grassland of Bamenda forward has penned a one-year deal with Latvian side BFC Daugavpils who announced the deal on their Facebook page. Yanki completed formalities and signed the deal which includes an option for an additional depending on performance.
“Cameroon attacking midfielder Joseph Bah Yanki adds the ranks,” Daugavpils wrote this Tuesday before going on to point out how far Yanki had come.
Yanki has been quite a sensation for years in the in the Cameroon, Nigeria and the Moroccan domestic championship.
The 2015 Cameroon Footballer of the year previously played for Grassland FC, Cotonsport FC and LIFCA where he played he scored freely scored goals and left a lasting impression. He envisage a similar contribution at his new workplace.
“I am very happy I have the opportunity to prove myself in Europe,” Yanki told kick442 after sealing the deal facilitated by Ngoh Nkelle Gilles.
Before the recent move, Yanki previously played abroad for Kano Pillars FC of Nigeria and MAS of Morocco but many are those who have always believed the former UMS of Loum playmaker deserves his chance in the big time.
“We look forward to see him using some of the outstanding skills here. We can see his speed, great ball control and his vision for the game. But we can only say more when the season starts,” kick442.com gathered from the club as they prepare for their domestic season opener at home to Tukums this weekend.
The belated move to Europe has created positive commentaries back at home but it truly remains to be seen if the former Olympic Lions of Cameroon forward who even had call ups to Cameroon’s senior team can deliver instantly or over time.
