President Joseph Feutcheu of Djiko FC of Bandjoun is set to appoint 2018 Cameroon Elite 1 champion Ebwelle Ndinge Bertin as head coach of the club on a season deal.
The former Cotonsport and Stade Renard of Melong trainer replaces coach Guy Berlin Kamguia who stepped down from his role as lead trainer of the Club this Wednesday following disagreement with top management in the past two weeks.
Bertin Ebwellé Ndingué is a retired professional footballer who represented Cameroon at the 1990 FIFA World Cup and also took part in 1992 African Nations Cup.
He also played for Clubs like Tonnerre Yaoundé, Persisam Putra Samarinda and Olympic Mvolyé.
Upon his retirement as a player he coached Tonnerre Yaoundé, Cotonsport of Garoua and Stade Renard of Melong most recently.
He was also in charge of the Cameroon Under 17 team at their AFCON tournament in 2017 in Gabon and can bring huge experience to Djiko FC who count a win and two draws in three games this season.
The man with the best win rate(60.18%) in the 2018 season in Cameroon must hit the ground running this weekend when they face Avion Academy on the road.
Ebwelle will join an unbeaten side with five points from three games this term.
Who ever the Club confirms as coach will be the 14th manager the Club will higher in four seasons in the Cameroon Elite One championship.
