Cameroon Elite One side Djiko FC of Bandjoun have appointed Cameroon Yves Clement Arroga as their head coach on a full-time basis replacing Dieudonne Nke and thus vacating the Sporting Director role he previously occupied.
According to our findings Yves Clement Arroga who penned a one-year contract as sports director in March will now take charge of training and all other activities.
We understand Yves Clement Arroga who did his coaching badges in Spain will oversee the technical preparations and restructuring of the club while Nke steps aside.
The Djiko FC coaching job is considered one of the most volatile in the country due to president Joseph Feutcheu’s desire to hire and fire coaches.
The next few weeks promises to be busy for the OPOPO faithfuls as the Club continues to run after their first win as part of efforts to conquer relegation from the top-flight championship.
The promotion of Arroga will still require greater investment in quality to put Djiko FC in a position to push the likes of UMS and Cotonsport who have been regular winners of domestic titles in recent years.
Promoted in 2016 as Feutcheu FC, the renamed Djiko FC has been in the top-flight for six seasons but the first for Arroga.
