Royal Antwerp ‘born again’ forward Didier Lamkel Ze scored the lone goal in his side’s one-nil win at home to Cercle Brugge on Wednesday in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
The striker returned to the starting XI alongside midfielder Franck Boya who has watched most of the games of the current season on the bench.
The forward who had been classed as ‘reject’ for over three months at the Club and publicly confessed his desire to leave showed his class again in the close encounter.
Franck Boya was shown a yellow card in the 37th minute of the game leaving him in a no margin for error situation for the rest of the afternoon.
Both sides failed to score in the first segment of the close encounter but Antwerp was more daring.
Upon resumption Antwerp multiplied their attacking efforts with potentials of getting at least a goal.
Lamkel Ze scored the winner in the 84th minute earning all three points on offer in the fixture.
The game ended on a one-nil score for Royal Antwerp.
The Club is currently ranked third with 37 points from 22 games this season.
Lamkel Ze has scored a goal and assist one in six appearances this season.
