Barely 24 hours after YOSA Academy of Bamenda’s head coach Ndoumbe Bosso was kidnapped and released in the Northwest city of Bamenda, sources at Southwest amateur Football Club, University Buea FC have told that over 10 of their players have been kidnapped while they were in training this Wednesday in Buea.

The players are said to have reported for training at the University Buea main Stadium “Wembley” this morning but were taken away in their numbers before the arrival of their head coach.

Speaking to coach Nicolas Asongu on telephone, the coach said they can’t be specific on the number of players taken away. Coach Asongu was in the hospital with a patient when the incident occurred but he has been told by other players that over 10 of their colleagues who had come to the Stadium can’t be reached as at 9:00 AM this Wednesday.

“They took away students who had reported for block training in preparation for the upcoming University games,we can’t tell the exact number of students taken away but this is very worrying”

This is another of a series of such unfortunate situation since the beginning of the arm conflict in the two Anglophone Regions of the country.
