The Communication Unit of YOSA of Bamenda is said to have Communicated that all League games programmed to take place in the North West Capital City of Bamenda in the Weekend of 9th and 10th of February 2019 have been called off.
PWD of Bamenda is supposed face Colombe of Dja,YOSA had a date with Unisport of Bafang and Bang Bullets of Nkambe had to clash with Canon of Yaounde all this Weekend.
kick442.com spoke with a source at Colombe, after the reports emerge.
“We are deeply concerned about the situation in the North not only for ourselves but our opponents,we have presented our proposals to the League but we go by instructions. We have a planned departure from our base on Saturday morning, though we eagerly await a decision for the good of Football,there has been no otherwise information”.
A source at the League’s management body told kick442.com that “the last time the matter was on the table,the option on board was to have the teams move into and out of the Region with escorts and since that decision was taken there has been no otherwise information”.
In the PWD camp,a top source had this to tell kick442.com;”there has been no official Communique from the League to us starting otherwise,we are are preparing as usual with hopes that Football prevails and we get the desired results on Sunday in Bamenda for the Football loving people of the North West”.”PWD is more than just a club,a win here on Sunday will give us and our followers more than just 3 points.”
Last weekend APEJES of Mfou was in the North West and lost to PWD of Bamenda by 2-1 while YOSA was in the Center Region where they beat Eding Sport FC 1 nil.
Bang Bullets on their part have their first League game this weekend.
