A release sent to kick442.com by the communication manager of the Zambia Football Federation,Mme Chanda has confirmed that Belgian Boss,Sven Vanderbroek will be in charge of the Chipolopolos of Zambia for the last time when the country’s National take on Namibia on the 23rd March.
Coach Sven replaced Wedson Nyyirenda in July 2018 after leaving Cameroon with where he wwon the 2017 AFCON as Fitness coach with his Compatriot,Hugo Broos.
Sven was hired to at least qualify for the AFCON but unfortunately failed to stamp his mark on a Youthful Zambian side and couldn’t help the country qualify for the 2019 AFCON.
“We wish to advise the Mr Sven contract will comes to an end in March 2019 and will NOT be renewed;” A Statement from the Football Association read.
The same release signed by Football Association of Zambia General secretary, Adrian Kashala has nominated Zambian Duo; Aggrey Chiyangi and Numba Mumamba as first and second assistant senior National Team coaches respectively.
The release states that the above decisions were taken after a weekend meeting of FAZ executive committee members.
Zambia next big thing is to Target Qualification for the Under 23 AFCON tournament to take place in Egypt in November this year as the tournament is also going to serve as the Qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Game.
