Coach of TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON 2022) Champions, Desiree Ellis has released her 23-member squad list to face 2022 Copa America Femenina Champions, Brazil.
The squad comprises almost all the players that won WAFCON 2022 in Morocco.
A notable omission in the squad is Noko Matlou who won’t be available due to visa issues according to Desiree Ellis.
Matlou is replaced by Lonathemba Mhlongo, while Asanda Hadebe is also brought in as a backup in the backline as the only changes among the defenders.
Bambanani Mbane will also be missing alongside Thembi Kgatlana who is out due to her injury.
African Champions Banyana Banyana will face Brazil twice with the first game holding on September 2 at the Orlando Stadium.
