Djamel Belmadi, the lead trainer of the Algeria national selection has held a first full training session with his team in Malabo.
The Desert Foxes jet in the Capital city of Equatorial Guinea on Monday with plans to hold a two days preparations camp for their top 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff matches against the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
Manchester City forward and country’s skipper Riyad Mahrez joined the rest of the 24-man squad at work this charged Tuesday in which two on the pitch training sessions.
The first-leg game which will Algeria’s latest attempt to get a first win against Cameroon has been scheduled for March 25 at the Japoma Stadium in Douala while the reversed fixture is penciled for the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida four days later.
The Algerians will arrive Cameroon in the early hours of Thursday,March 24.

The aggregate winner of the tie will participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar as one of five representatives of Africa and African football.

Cameroon has picked 27 players for the game which will also mark a first meeting between Cameroon’s Rigobert Song and Algeria’s Djamel Belmadi as managers having met on many occasions as players during their playing days.
