Delta Queens and Bayelsa Queens played out a goalless draw in their fourth game at the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six holding at Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
The cagey game saw Chika Idika with a long-range attempt in the 25th minute which was well handled by Onyinyechi Okeke in goal for Bayelsa Queens.
Six minutes later, Joy Bokiri tested Ihuoma Onuegbu with a shot that didn’t pose much threat to the goalkeeper.
Okeke did well with a brave punch from Mamuzo Edafe’s long kick in the 63rd minute.
Six minutes later, Vincent Precious failed to score from a comfortable position as Ihuoma Onuegbu made another save to deny Bayelsa Queens from taking the lead.
Charity Reuben also missed a gilt-edge chance from a comfortable position for Bayelsa Queens.
Delta Queens with eight points moved level on points with Rivers Angels but in the second position based on inferior goal difference.
Bayelsa Queens on the other hand occupied the fifth position with two points from four games.
The final game of Friday, April 23, 2021, between FC Robo Queens and Sunshine Queens as well as Sunday games, will determine Nigeria’s representative at the 2021 Total CAF Women’s Champions League and the League Champions.
