Nigerian goalkeeper and FIFA U-17 World Cup winner, Dele Alampasu made his first appearance in the colours of FK Ventspils of Latvia as they recorded a 3-1 away victory against Spartaks in their Latvia Optibet Virsliga game played on Monday, June 29, 2020.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper joined FK Ventspils in February 2020, after unsuccessful spells with Feirense, and Cesarense from 2015 to 2017. He was without a club since 2017 before joining FK Ventspils.

Dele Alampasu in 2015 alongside Kelechi Iheanacho and other Golden Eaglets players won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar where he also won the Golden Glove Award for the best goalkeeper of the tournament as Nigeria won their fourth FIFA U-17 World Cup.
He has also played one match for the Super Eagles of Nigeria when he came on during Nigeria’s 3-0 victory over Togo on June 1, 2017.
