Turkish Super League top-flight side Kasimpasa have completed the signing of 30-year old Cameroonian forward Stephane Cedric Bahoken who ended his working relationship with the Ligue 1 club SCO Angers in June this year.
Bahoken scored thrice and provided an assist in 28 appearances for Angers last season but unfortunately that couldn’t convince Gérald Baticle to keep him at the Raymond Kopa Stadium again, thus putting him in the market which Kasimpasa have taken advantage of.
The ex-Strasbourg scorer who made 120 apearances in four years for Angers had earlier being linked to Red Star Belgrqde, Ankaragücü and Sivasspor but this but Cfoot has confirned his transfer to the Turkish giants.
During four years at Angers, Bahoken scored 28 goals and provided seven assists in a roller-coaster stint and is expected to do more in terms of output at his latest club.
There were reports linking the former Nice goal getter to a move to China among others but he has optes to stay in Europe to improve his chances of making the 2022 FIFA World cup squad with coach Rigobert Song’s indomitable Lions.
With the exception of the brief spell at St Mirren FC in Scotland, Bahoken has spent the rest of his career in France thus making this a third move out of Feance.
ln the international scene, the striker who represented France at youth levels has scored for goals in 28 appearances for Cameroon since switching allegiance in 2018.
