Nigeria Under 17 goalkeeper to the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Daniel Jinadu has signed his first professional contract with the London side, West ham United, kick442.com can report.
After five appearances with the West ham U18s in the 2019/20 season, Jinadu was rewarded for his consistency and conscientiousness with his first professional contract.
One of a number of talented goalkeepers coming through the ranks at the West ham Academy of Football, Daniel Jinadu was born in Nigeria before moving to England.
Jinadu spent time with Chelsea before joining West Ham United in December 2017 and taking up a two-year scholarship in the summer of 2018.
The athletic shot-stopper made his U18 Premier League debut for the Hammers against Arsenal on 30 January 2018 and started three times at that level as a schoolboy. Now a regular at U18 level, Jinadu has also featured in several U23s matchday squads.
Having represented England at U15 and U16 level, Jinadu would continue his international career with the country of his birth. He started three games for Nigeria U17s at the 2019 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Brazil as they reached the Round of 16 where they were beaten by the Netherlands.
Jinadu in the coming days will feature for the Under 23 team of West ham United as he continues to grow from the ranks in his bid to be one of West ham’s first-team goalkeeper.
