Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey is planning to move away from Leister City with the intention of relaunching his career.
The 25-year-old has been a surplus to requirement under Coach Brendan Rogers after he had an ankle injury in their league game against West Ham United in October, 2018.
The defender has struggled to make his way back into the first team nearly a year after his recovery.
The closest he has come is to sit on the bench in a League Cup game against Luton Town last September.
Speaking during interview with Starr FM , his agent Yusif Chibsah said they are looking for another opportunity for him.
“We are looking to find new opportunities for Amartey. He’s been out of favour from the new gaffer so we will see how best we can solve that issue.
Amartey is still with the Foxes but he has not been getting more playing time due to the fact that he got injured. After his injury, they consider him as surplus, so there should be a way out.” Yusif Chibsah said
Amartey joined the Foxes from Danish club FC Copenhagen in January 2016 and made five appearances to Leister’s league title victory that season.
