As part of his Metropolitan, Municipal and Districts tour, the Chairman of the Central Regional Football Association Mr. Robert Oteiku Duncan had a successful meeting with the Komenda- Edina- Eguafo- Abrem (KEEA) Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Appiah Korang on Wednesday September 16.
In his open remark, the RFA Chairman said it was part of his mission to revive grassroot football with the support from the MMDCEs and that was why he visited.
“It was part of my mission to revive grassroot football within the Region with support from other stakeholders so my visit here today is to seek for support from you and other stakeholders to help with the development of football in Ghana especially in KEEA Municipality.” he said
The MCE expressed his delight with the initiative and assured of his willingness to support the agenda.
“I am very much delighted about the RFA Chairman’s visit.
I know that previously, juvenile football was nice especially at the Basic and Senior High School level but it has dwindled recently but since you have started this, we will support you with any available resource at our disposal.” He said
He further promised that with his management, he will help to find an office for the Municipal FA.
“Currently, all the offices here are occupied but due to the importance of this, I will as early as possible meet management and find office for the Municipal FA” he added.
K.E.E.A Municipal Football Association is on the verge of detaching itself from Cape Coast Metro FA.
