On Thursday, April 23, the people of Buea had pleasant visitors admit the Coronavirus brouhaha. Cameroon’s most deadly of goal-hunter via his foundation.
[Fundación Privada Samuel Eto’o] in collaboration with a host of institutions amongst which are the Kadji Group, Utopia, BETOO, Twist night club and Afro-pop star Daphne brightened a relatively dull day of dark clouds and rain droplets in Buea.
Former Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o was not in any way bluffing or grandiloquent in his speech when he promised help to thousands of Cameroonians little over seven days back.
Eto’o’s crew alongside musician Daphne, visited parts of Buea town and the Buea central Prison, where prisoners showered Samuel Eto’o with blessings due to his flamboyant gesture during these periods of the dark ashes.
Just like Eto’o’s entourage did in the Littoral region some 72 hours back, gifts like: soap, rice, salt and face masks were handed to the people.
The general coordinator of the caravan Theren Messi, told Kick442.com: “we are in Buea to support people due to the Coronavirus so they can stay at home, wash their hands with flowing water and soap,” she ended.
Several beneficiaries looked excited with statements like: “our own brother has thought of us. We pray that God continues to bless him,” amongst many others.
Africa’s most decorated player Samuel Eto’o, waited and waited even after jabs were directly thrown at him for not supporting his country during the perilous moments. The 2009/2010 back-to-back treble winner has made critics eat their words in some style.
The next stop most likely will be the nation’s political capital Yaounde, after which the caravan heads West.
