The general manager of the continental club masters, Mr. Frederick Moore has called on government to support the Ghanaian clubs from the Covid-19 funds.
According to him, football is one institution that really helps the nation in all aspects of the economy.
In his interview with Asempa FM in the capital, Mr. Moore explained that even though the clubs are private entities, their contributions to the economic growth cannot be over emphasized.
For instance, when there are football matches, market women, drivers and many others benefit.
Again, the enjoyment that people gain after league matches and national assignments can’t be measured.
Mr. Moore further asserted that it is the responsibility of the government to provide security for her people and the clubs are part therefore now that times are hard due to the outbreak of the Covid-19, government has to come to their aid to sustain them.
Ghana’s football activities are on hold due to the outbreak of the Covid-19.
