Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA) Central Board announces new dates for senior basketball events globally.
With everything being equal, basketball will resume in June 2021.

The new dates are for both men and women basketball events for 2021 and 2022. With this new development, FIBA Women’s Afrobasket will take place from September 17-26, 2021, while men FIBA Afrobasket will now take place from August 24 to September 5, 2020.

The new dates were fixed due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic which has disrupted major sporting events across the globe.

2. FIBA Women’s AmeriCup (June 20-27)
3. Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (July 23-August 8)
4. FIBA Women’s Afrobasket (September 17-26)
5. FIBA Women’s Asia Cup (September 26- October 3)

1. FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (June 22- July 4)
2. Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (July 23-August 8)
3. FIBA Asia Cup (August 17-29)
4. FIBA Afrobasket (August 24- September 5)

FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup (September 22- October 1)

1. FIBA Eurobasket (September 1-18)
