The management of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Bayelsa Queens Football Club has extended the ten(10) days break giving to the players by two weeks, due to the Corona Virus pandemic.
According to the Acting Chairman, Robin Aprela, the extension became imperative, so as to monitor the situation of the CoronaVirus (Covid 19).
He urged all players and coaches to stay safe and abide to all the rules and regulations to stay safe and added that “Health is Wealth”.
Secretary of the club, Grace Alagoa, called on players to be discciplined and not to move about and that she is sure the Corona Virus pandemic will soon be a thing of the past and added that she hope to see the players intact and healthy.
Football as well as sporting events have been halted throughout Nigeria in order to avoid the spread of CoronaVirus pandemic.
Bayelsa Queens were 2017-2018 Nigeria Women Premier League champions but could not retain their trophy last season after finishing third during the 2018-2019 Super 4 tournament in Lagos.
