Indomitable Lions of Cameroon defender Jerome Junior Onguene has taken to social media to announce he has contracted the novel Corona Virus.
The 22-year-old full and center-back on the books of Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg took to Instagram this Thursday, September 10, to deliver the unwanted message.
“Hello there just wanted to let you know that I am feeling fine although I am currently in quarantine. I am free of any symptoms,” the former Sochaux FC forward cum defender wrote.
Jerome missed Salzburg’s 10-nil cup win on Wednesday without explanation but it may appear his health situation led to his absence.
He joins a long-list of Cameroonian footballers that have tested positive of the Corona Virus since its outbreak early this year.
Njie Clinton, Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Bassogog have all tested positive for the virus recovered and resume duty as usual.
