Legendary Cotonsport of Garoua forward Kamilou Daouda has fully-recovered and is available for selection for the first time since February 14.
The striker was operated in mid February after suffering a health problem but he returned to training close a fortnight ago and the Club has named him in their squad for upcoming events.
The 33-year old striker has featured in three games this season but his absence hasn’t been an issue as 22-year old striker partner Lambert Ngueme Araina has deputized in style scoring 11 in 14 games this season.
Kamilou joined the Club in the build-up to the 2005-2006 season and has gone on to become the Clubs all-time lead scorer with 128 goals in just over 300 appearances across ten seasons sandwiched with short stints abroad.
Kamilou who top scored for Cotonsport in their 2008 record CAF Champions League run with eight goals that season helped the Club finish second to Al Ahly of Cairo.
The Niger International has won three Cup of Cameroon trophies, five Elite One titles and the Cameroon Elite One golden boots award in not less than than four occasions with the latest being in 2018.
He has not only cemented his place in the hearts of Cotonsport fans and in the hearts of the fans of Cameroon League one followers, therefore his return is great for Cotonsport and their title ambitions.
The Cotonites face RS Berkane on Wednesday in match-day six of the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup before returning home to tackle a series of delayed games in the Cameroon Elite One championship they are ranked fourth in with five games in hand.
