Cotonsport of Garoua wing back Bawak Etta Thomas has taken to tweeter to announce the nature of his injury and assure he will be back in the shortest possible time.
The 26-year old intermediate Lions of Cameroon defender watch from the floor as his side conceded a nine minutes goal against RS Berkane and got substituted 13 minutes after kick-off as his side suffered a 2-1 defeat away in Berkane in their final group game of the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup.
From the moment of the ugly scene, fans of Cotonsport have been in panic mood as they fear one defender maybe unavailable for crucial challenges in future.
However Etta has via Twitter quench any such worries.
“Minor abductor problem led to my early substitution last night. I will be back in the days ahead,” Etta wrote on his official Twitter handle.
The defender is expected to be out of the Club’s activities for 10-14 days.
Bawak has featured in 13 games in all competitions this season since returning from another injury spell.
The former UMS of Loum, DAC2000 and New Stars of Douala defender has a muscle problem which will likely keep him out of the weekend domestic league game against New Stars of Douala for whom once played.
Cotonsport of Garoua sailed through to the quarter-finals of the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup.
Cotonsport will know their CAF Confederation cup quarter-final opponents this Friday after the pairings in Cairo.
