2004 CAF Confederation cup semi-finalist Cotonsport of Garoua have had their first practice session upon their return from Lome with a two-nil led in the two legged tie in this season’s CAF Confederation cup play-offs.
Coach Souleymanou Aboubakar’s team had 33 players in training this thus at the Ngalgibe complex in Garoua.
The team which only returned home in the early hours of this Thursday began training at 4pm local time.
The goalkeeping department of Anye Derick Fru and Narcisse Nlend Junior worked with coach Saidou while the rest of the team was drilled by coach Herman And lead trainer Souleymanou Aboubakar.
The training lasted an hour after which the players were subjected to individual ice bath under the supervision of the team Doctor.
The full activities of the session ended at 5:30pm and the players returned home with a training appointment on Friday at the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua.
Kamilou Daouda and his mates are expected to train at the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua on Friday ahead of Sunday’s return leg game at the same venue.
Cotonsport have a two-nil lead from the first-leg encounter recorded last weekend and will be hoping to build on this to secure qualification for the next round of the competition.

But, before we look ahead to this weekend’s game, let’s take a quick trip back to Lome last week when Cotonsport edged Unisport to win three points.
Cotonsport will play their first CAF interclub game at the Roumde Adja Stadium in Garoua on Sunday at 3:30pm.
