Officials of the Cameroon football federation, FECAFOOT have paid a courtesy visit to one of the country’s flag bearers in the 2020-2021 CAF interclub competitions.
Players of Cotonsport of Garoua, Cameroon’s lone representatives in this season’s CAF Confederation cup recieved officials of the Cameroon football federation in their hotel on Thursday, November 26.
Mr Parfait Siki, the communication’s director of FECAFOOT alongside other dignitaries voiced words of encouragement to the team while promising the Federation’s unflinching support to Cotonsport in the tie in Lome on November 29 and in Garoua a week later.
The boys of coach Souleymanou Aboubakar arrived Yaoundé on Wednesday evening in the Club’s luxurious bus.
The team is expected to leave Cameroon on Friday morning for Lome – Togo where they will challenge local side FC Unisport of Sokode in the first preliminary stages of the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation cup.
Sunday’s game at the Stade Kague in Lome Togo will be the first fixture between both sides.
It is an opportunity for Cotonsport to launch her quest to return to the group stage of the CAF interclub competitions after a three year absence.
The return game is scheduled for December 4 at the Roumde Adja stadium in Garoua.
