Djibrilla Mamadou, Vice President of Cotonsport represented the team during the party. In attendance was North Regional Delegate of Sports and Physical Education and other dignitaries.
Worth noting is the fact that Cotonsport’s victory gives coach Aboubakar Souleymanou and boys an opportunity to purse a better place in the tournament.
Their best run was during 2013/2014 season where they were knocked out by Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the semi-finals.
Cotonsports of Garoua beat AS Sonidep 1#0 both home and away to have a place in the group stage. They have been drawn alongside RS Berkane, JS Kabylie, NAPSA Stars in Group B.
