Match 3 fixtures recorded high score line as South Africa, Mozambique in group A were big winners while Angola also scored high in it group C tie.
The Amijitas of South Africa wallop Lesotho seven goals to nil it second game of the tournament at the Wolfson Stadium.
An early own goal in the 6th minutes by Lesotho seat the ball rolling for a whitewash.
Eleven minutes later, Rowan Human made it two. But South Africa was not done yet in the half as Sinenjongo Mkiva second it third in the 43rd minutes.
The second half started too early for Lesotho as Oswin Appollis scored South Africa’s fourth in the 46th minutes.
Mkiva scored his second and third in the 62nd and 86th minutes before Tshepo Myeni dealt the final blow with a last minute strike to end the demolition.
It was a rather quiet first half in the clash between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, but the Mozambicans ignited it arsenals in the second phase to second two and win the game.
Simon Ciprano put Mozambique ahead in the 57th minutes through a penalty kick.
Gabriel Pinho scored the second in the 85th minutes to consolidate Mozambique’s lead which turned to end the score at 2-0.
Angola in group C, did its semifinal qualification chances a lot of good by beating Botswana 4-0.
After losing against Eswatini in it first match, Ambrosini Salvador and Tangu Gastao’s braces ensured an emphatic win for Angola.
Salvador scored his first in the 43rd minutes of the game while Gastao’s first in the 62nd minutes made it two.
And just in the that order, Salvador scored in the 90 plus two minutes to put to bed any chances of Botswana coming back to the game. Gastao put the icing on the cake two minutes later before the final whistle.
