The clash between two countries from Confederation of Southern Africa Football Associations (COASAFA) ended in a barren draw.
Tanzania picked their first point after their final Group D game which ended in 0-0 draw with Zambia.
The Chipolopolo of Zambia started the game by possessing the ball and hindering Namibia from having much of the ball.
The first real chance of the game fell to Zambia in the 14th minute when captain, Adrian Chama’s long ball set up Moses Phiri who could not beat Namibian goalkeeper, Ndisiro Kamaijanda.
Phiri’s penalty appeal was ignored by the referee.
Emmanuel Chabula’s weak shot from the edge of the box did not trouble Ndisiro Kamaijanda in goal for Namibia in the
24th minute.
In the 45th minute, a cross from Zachariah Chilongoshi was headed wide by Emmanuel Chabula.
Collins Sikombe’s volley in the box also went wide in the 59th minute as Zambia searched for the opening goal.
Kelvin Kapumbu tried a long range shot outside the box in the 66th minute which went wide.
In the 74th minute, captain Absalom Manjana Iimbondi fired a shot straight at Allan Chibwe.
Collins Sikombe tried another long range shot which also went wide in the 78th minute.
Zambia joined group leaders, Guinea in the quarter final where they will play defending Champions, Morocco.
