Former Asante Kotoko and TP Mazembe star, Daniel Nii Adjei has revealed that he is currently into farming due to the stoppage of football in Ghana, kick442.com can report.
The 31-year-old former Wydad Casablanca midfielder and winner of the 2015 CAF Champions League with TP Mazembe has quickly switched to a new trade to keep him going while waiting for the resumption of football on the continent.
The midfielder with a cap for the senior national team of Ghana featured on seven occasions for Ghana Premier League outfit King Faisal in the halted 2019-2020 season. He has been off football duty since the domestic championship was halted in March this year following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in most parts of Africa.
While most players wait for the commencement or the cancellation of the league from their homes Nii is setting the pace in another field.
“I have started farming. I’m harvesting maize from my farm. I have been occupying myself with the activity as football activities in the country are off”: Daniel Nii Adjei explained to Accra-based Angel FM.
Ghana football association has till the end of June to decide the fate of football in the country but Nii is nearly certain to be comfortable with or without football.
