Colombe of Dja and Lobo have paid their entire playing staff for the month of March and taken a commitment to do so for the rest of the season though football in the country is in a standstill.
Barely hours after reports emerged that the club has met it’s obligation with the players, star forward Hampo Man Ykre has told kick442.com that he is more than nust satisfied with the move.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone at the club for the efforts. This is when you understand the club can also fight for us.
The money boast our morals and I am very. We hope to give our fans the desired results when the league resumes” Man Ykre concluded.
The forward has been the club’s lead scorer this campaign with nine goals from 28 games.
Colombe of Dja are contenders in what is shaping to be a three-horse title race with leaders PWD and second-place Cotonsport.
The Cameroon Elite one championship has been suspended since March 17 but President Andre Noel and his collaborators have taken a commitment to pay the club’s players till the end of the current campaign.
