Football within the Coronavirus era has been described by Zambia coach, Milutin Sredojevic [Micho] as the sweet honey in bitterness of life, as the sport discipline remains a driving force for unity, consolation and comfort, he told kick442.com.
In March 2020, major sporting competitions across the globe were paralysed with some events canceled or rescheduled due to the pandemic, which has claimed the lives of over 500000 people across the globe.
Africa has recorded a significant number of confirmed cases and over 11000 deaths.

Various Leagues on the continent were forced to reschedule their calendar. Others were obliged to abruptly end their domestic championships with no champions and continental representatives proclaimed.
However, there’s been much improvement as some of Africa’s domestic leagues have laid down mechanisms of restarting despite the health crises. Some European League’s set the ball by resuming in May.
Hard to imagine football without fans on the pitch. But it’s more difficult to picture a year, if not a lifetime without football action on the turf. Obviously,one of the greatest source of grieve inflected by the Coronavirus has been the absence of discipline from the stadia and on the screens. Now that it’s back, there’s much to hope for especially from die heart fans who, despite the new mode of life have become more enthusiastic to see their respective Clubs excel even without a push from them.
Zambia’s head coach, Milutin Sredojevic in a recent interview on kick442.com has described football as a major source for comfort and assurance within this period.
The 50-year-old gaffer told Kick442.com in an interview, he is saddened about the tradegy caused by the Covid-19 but has remained optimistic the is light at the end of the tunnel.

Milutin Sredojevic was named Zambia head coach this year.
