Veteran Coach Gerard Mbimi Theophile has told kick442.com on Monday that preparation for the game against Union Sportive of Douala begins this Tuesday.
The Veteran gaffer who has an over 10 years relationship with New Stars of Douala had been a subject of speculation as many media outlets discussed his future with president Faustin Domkeu’s club following New Stars elimination from the CAF confederatin cup by Gor Mahia and an opening day defeat in the Cameroon domestic Championship against Colombe of Dja.
Speaking to kick442.com just after a routine post-match meeting with his colleagues and the club president; ”We were all worried after the last 3 results but we have had a lengthy and serene meeting to review the last game and plan for the Union Sportive game in Limbe”.

USD beat New Stars by 2 goals to 1 last season with goals from Serge Seko for USD and Alain Nandjou for New Stars.The result ended New Stars 5 seasons unbeaten run against USD but both players have switched clubs in the build up to this season.
