The assistant gaffer of Elmina Sharks, Felix Ahmed Aboagye has tendered an unqualified apology to his former colleague Peter Ofori Quaye and his family.
This comes after the former Al Ahly man was heavily criticized for an interview granted on Asempa FM.
Unfortunately coach Aboagye made family damaging comment involving, Ofori Quaye, his former colleague during their playing days in Greece.
According to the former Al Ahly attacker, he took medication which made him daze before the interview so he didn’t realize making such comment until the following day that he had calls from friends and family members asking him about his comment.
Below is his full apology on his Facebook culled from his official Facebook page:
“I will like to apologise to all my colleagues, friends players, fans and most especially Peter Ofori Quaye and family for the damage caused by my words.
” The interview I had on Asempa FM radio station in which I made mention of myself and peter chartered a flight from Greece to Ghana Because of women….Don’t even have that might and money to have chartered a flight those times..I had headache that day, took a few tablets that dazed me during the whole interview, only to realized myself the next day.
“Peter is a very decent and respectable colleague. We shared our memories as brothers during our playing time wisely. We never misused money on women. Please forgive me for those unnecessary comments. I hope Peter Ofori Quaye will find a place in his heart to forgive me” Aboagye concluded.
Felix and Ofori Quaye played together at Greek side Olympiacos and the Black Stars of Ghana.
