Liverpool have once again returned to the top of the English premier League,2 points clear off Manchester City as a result of a well deserving 3-1 win over Southampton at the St Mary”s Stadium on Friday.
Liverpool came from behind after Shane Long gave Southampton a 9th minute lead but Naby Keita settled scored for the visitors at the 36th minute.
Mohammed Salah ended his goal drought after 8 premier league matches with an excellent Solo goal 10 minutes to the final whistle while Jordan Henderson sealed victory for Liverpool 6 minutes later.
Matip was at the origin of Liverpool’s third goal with his long ball to Roberto Firmino who assisted the Naby Keita to score his first League goal for Liverpool in over a year. It was a game with the Cameroonian international winning 10 of 14 duels during the encounter.

He was at the best in his defensive role at the St Mary stadium,a role he has been constant since coming on from injury.
He made 4 crucial clearance and one prompt intervention for his club as they regain the top of the premier league.

Joel Matip 27yrs, will definitely be important as Liverpool welcomes55 Chelsea at Arnsfield in their next league game.

Clinton Njie- Marseille
Njie Clinton Played for just 15 minutes in Marseilles 0-2 defeat to Bordeaux defeat to Bordeaux in Friday’s day 31 fixture of the French Ligue 1.
He came in to replace Maxime Lopez at the 85 minute.

Clinton Njie had just over 15 minutes of match warmth

The Cameroonian international who returned to his club after a scoring for his country during the international break against Comoros had no major contribution during his team loss.
Marseille have lost a chance to secure a spot for European competition but have future opportunities to catch-up
A win for them would have sent them fourth places and a sure ticket for the UEFA Europa League while norturing a champion league ticket.
They are now just a point away from saint Etienne who are 4th on the ligues table.
Marseille might redeem themselves off that unexpected defeat to Bordeaux when they face Nimes during match day 32.
