21-year-old Cameroonian box — to– box midfielder Clinton Elimita Ekole has revealed to this portal that he has decided to go with Cameroon, despite being courted most recently by Finland.
- The lad and his teammates have resumed general routine workouts in view of an announced commencement of the Finnish League slated for June 13.
Having donned the national kit colours of the Under-17 lions some years back, Elimita has pledged his allegence to Cameroon, reason enough for Under-23 Lions coach, Rigobert Song and co to track his development.
Speaking to kick442.com on the resumption of workout sessions with teammates, Elimita mentioned: “we resumed training last week, it wasn’t easy to get back to good shape but my indoor workouts helped”.
“I now feel like am gaining my strength and everything because our league will resume on the 13 of June.”
Elimita then settled nerves of representing a different national selection.
“I have as an ambition to play for Cameroon because that has been my dream. I have once played for the Cameroon Under-17 lions and my wish is to represent my country at the highest level again. I don’t have any reason to change switch to a Finn”, the midfielder ended.
Clinton Elimita has drawn admiration from teammates of his parent side FC Espoo despite him still to have a kick of the ball.
A carbon copy of former Cameroonian international now in time sand – Marc Vivian Foe, the kid most definitely has unexploited potentials.
