Appointed the head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon just under a year ago, Clarence Clyde Seedorf in his introduction to life in African football has not found it going all his way.

The Dutch football great in his playing days has failed to live of to the expectations of many Cameroonians after the elimination of Cameroon in the 8th final of the ongoing AFCON competition in Egypt.

Saturday’s defeat was Seedorf’s 3rd in 12 games as head coach of Cameroon and ended the country’s run of 10 AFCON games without defeat.

5 of the games he has been in charge of have ended in a draw plus 4 wins.

Clarence Seedorf’s balance sheet as Coach of Cameroon.

-4 Victories (Zambia, Comoros, Malawi, Guinea Bissau)

-5 draws (Comoros, Ghana, Benin, Mali, Malawi)

-3 defeats (Morocco Brazil, Nigeria)

The Dutch coach has a 33.3% win rate from 12 games.

It’s unclear whether Seedorf will be given the chance to stay at the helm of the National Team ahead of the next AFCON in 2 years in Cameroon or he will leave his role as coach of Cameroon.
