PSG have made it a perfect season on the domestic front by beating Olympique Lyonnais in the French Cup on Friday evening.

Though they recorded a win at the end, the men of the French capital were made to sweat by their eternal rivals Lyon.

Lyon held PSG to a nervous goalless draw for 120 minutes without Choupo-Moting while Toko-Ekambi came on in the 80th minutes.

It took penalty shootouts to decide which of the great Clubs take the trophy away.

After five successes apiece from the spot, including one from Toko-Ekambi, Burkina Faso’s Bertrand Traore stepped up and missed Lyon’s 6th.
He missed meant PSG’s 6th penalty converted by Pablo Sarabia handed a second trophy in a week to PSG.

The win handed a 13th French Cup title to Thomas Tuchel’s team while Lyon’s eight-year wait for a trophy continues.

Potential Indomitable Lions of Cameroon defender Loïc Mbe Soh was a part of the victorious team.

Both sides are done with domestic business for this campaign.
Focus now switch to their ‘small’ UEFA Champions League contest against Atalanta Bergame for the champions while Lyon worry about Italian Champions Juventus of Turin in the round of 16.
