Football Writer,

As this online portal reported over the weekend, Choupo-Moting has return to training at PSG with the rest of his Club colleagues as they prepare for the last lapse of the 2019-2020 season.

There had been reports stating that the 31-year-old former FSV Mainz forward was on his way out of the Parc de Prince, but over the weekend the situation changed dramatically;

First, reports surfaced PSG’s most reliable source of goals Edison Cavani informed PSG officials he will not stay at the Club beyond June 30, then reports of Choupo-Moting taking his place in the Champions League squad followed.

The presence of Choupo-Moting in training this Monday, June 22, 2020 could mean he stays beyond the end of his contract which runs out in eight days.

Given that the remaining UEFA Champions League games for this season are scheduled in August this year, PSG is expected to give the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon skipper a new short term deal for the rest this season while hoping UEFA allows his registration.

Once of Schalke 04, the forward moved to the French Capital in 2018 from Stoke City.

Unfortunately, in two years under Thomas Tuchel, he has failed to put together a run of games, and produce the attacking touch he displayed in his days at Schalke 04.

Two weeks ago, reports of his departure from PSG dominated headlines, amid interest from Turkish, English, and Italian clubs.

Choupo-Moting scored 5 goals in 17 games in all competitions in the just-ended season.

Since swapping Stoke for Paris in August 2018, Choupo-Moting has made 56 appearances and scored 10 goals, providing three assists for the French Ligue 1 champions.

Considered as a utility player under Thomas Tuchel, his stay beyond June 30 could mean the ex-Hamburger SV and Nuremberg front-man will continue the rest of PSG’s UEFA Champions League campaign programmed for August in Lisbon.

Turkish media is reporting that the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon captain has a deal in principle with Fernabahce.
