Bayern’s German trainer Hansi Flick has included Indomitable Lions of Cameroon skipper Eric Choupo-Moting in his side’s squad for this Saturday’s German Bundesliga match-day eight home game against Weder Bremen.
This comes les than two weeks after 31-year-old forward was dropped from the Cameroon squad that eventually defeated Mozambique twice in the home and away Matchday three and four AFCON qualifiers games.
Choupo-Moting missed both games because of an ankle problem which now seems sorted.
The former PSG and Stoke City speedy forward is in the squad and likely to get some minutes if the lead trainer deem him ready for that.
Choupo-Moting joined Bayern on deadline day in the last transfer window and has been given a run of games under his belt.
His absence from the national selection has also helped him settle thus enhancing his chances of impacting the game as most of his colleagues may have returned with relative travel fatigue.
Unfortunately, that is the international break — some players are injured, some returned tired, while others are probably reeling from the shock of a historic defeat. Werder Bremen, who come into the game with two weeks of rest, will probably fancy their chances this time.
The 3:30pm kick-off is certainly an opportunity for the German champions to tighten their grasp of the top-spot in the championship.
