German giants Bayern Munich of Cameroon international Eric Choupo-Moting have crowned their 2020 season in style with a victory in the 2020 Club World Cup (CWC).
Bayern narrowly-edged Tigres of Mexico by one goal to nil thanks to a fine strike from Benjamin Pavard.
The UEFA champions league holders were made to sweat till the 59th minute when a Pavard strike unlocked the Tigres defense.
Bayern become more organized at the back restricting the CONCACAF side fruitless breaks on the counter through mostly Andre Pierre Gignac.
Though Choupo-Moting started the game on the bench, he was introduced in the 73rd minute in place of Douglas Costa and he played a part as Bayern held their lead till full-time.
The recent trophy is Choupo-Moting’s first in Bayern colors but adds to the lots he has won in the past three years or thereabouts.
