The Zambia Senior Men’s National team will begin their fifth COSAFA title chase against winners of Group B in the 2019 COSAFA tournament slated for South Africa from 25th May-8th June.

According, to the live draws conducted this evening live in Johannesburg,South Africa, Zambia will enter the competition at the quarterfinal stage and will face the winners of Group B which has Mambas of Mozambique, Africa Cup bound Namibia, Malawi and Seychelles.

The other quarterfinal fixtures will see Lesotho taking on the guest team Uganda with Zimbabwe who happens to be the six times champions beginning their title defense against the winners of Group A which has Angola,Eswatini, Comoros and Mauritius.

The last quarterfinal match will see hosts South Africa hosting the Zebras of Botswana.

This year’s tournament will be played in Durban, South Africa and will run from 25th May,2019-8th June,2019.

In last year’s edition, the Warriors of Zimbabwe beat Zambia 4-2 in the final with Tinotenda Kadewere and Kaiser Chiefs starman Kharma Billiat scoring a brace each while Lazarus Kambole got a brace for Zambia as Zimbabwe claimed their sixth title.
