The Chipolopolo of Zambia on Sunday took a short trip to the Ark of God Church in Buea to replenish their spirits at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) where they have so far played two energy-sapping matches.
Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic led his charges through a spiritual odyssey at the church located near the team camp as they sought to observe their traditional Sunday Church rituals.

The brief ceremony was spiced up by song and dance that drew the attention of residents from the nearby neighbourhood but kept a safe distance as the team observed Covid-19 protocols.
After the church service, the team got back to work at the Myloko Stadium where they held a recovery session.
Zambia plays Namibia on Wednesday at 8:00 pm local time in the final Group D match while Guinea and Tanzania will square off in the other fixture to decide the two sides that will qualify for the quarterfinals.
The Chipolopolo beat Tanzania 2-0 before drawing 1-all with Guinea who is also on four points with a better goal difference.
