Cameroon Indomitable Lions 2017 AFCON winning forward, Ndip Tambe Robert this Wednesday increased his goal tally in the current Chinese second tier football championship season.
The 28-year-old scored the winner for Shaangxi Chang’an a 67th minute winner as in his side recorded a 2-1 win over Nantong Zhiyun in the Chinese League One Championship.
Ma Junliang put the visitors ahead as early as the 21st minute but Guinea’s José Correia known as Zé Turbo equalized just after half an hour.
Tambe was a constant menace to the host through out the first segment but didn’t score.
The forward however had the reward for his efforts 23 minutes from time when he scored a header which turned out to be the winner.
The game ended on a 2-1 score, thus handing another three points to their credit.
Wednesday’s strike increased Ndip Tambe’s goal tally for Shaangxi Chang’an to 12 goals in 25 games this season.
Ndip Tambe and Shaangxi Chang’an Athletic are presently ranked 6th on the classification table of the 18-club championship with 54 points after 30 matches played.
The forward who played major role during Cameroon’s triumph as champions of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, joint Shaanxi Chang’an in 2020.
The experienced striker has been in the heart of Shaangxi Chang’an’s race in the league this season with the forward marking massive use of his physically energetic appearance on the green turf.
The forward will personally be hoping to increase his goal scoring figures in the final three games of the season to finish among the top scorers of the campaign.
