The intercontinental playoffs for the (2020) 2021 Olympics have officially been programmed by a unanimous decision from FIFA, CAF and COMEBOL.
Chile and Cameroon were due to battle for for a spot in the Tokyo games last year but saw their double header cancelled in the last minute due to the global Covid-19 pandemic outbreak still rocking the planet.
With few months to go, Chile and Cameroon will now face each other in the Turkish city of Antalya on the 10th and 13th of April 2021 to determine an intercontinental supremacy.
La Roja Feminina are poised on dealing a major blow to the indomitable lionesses of Cameroon and sail through to the Olympics for the first time in their history, while Cameroon’s female lions who last participated in that category in 2012 will wish to seal their spot for the tournament and improve on their last performance.
Both nation’s will in the days ahead publish a comprehensive list of players for the double header.
