Chia Gareth in action against Cotonsport

Yong Sport Academy of Bamenda shot stopper, Chia Gareth has told that that there is huge hunger for a victory in the camp of YOSA of Bamenda and the players plus their technical staff are doing all to end their winless run in this Tuesday.

Speaking from their base in the Bafoussam, the former University of Bamenda, Santos and Rush FC goalkeeper sounded optimistic about a win in Tuesday’s game while cautioning his colleagues about the threats Feutcheu FC provides.

The 19-year-old shot stopper will make his 10th appearance of the season in the match day 21 fixture. Ahead of the game, the goalkeeper who has kept three clean sheets this season spoke to

“I think it is going to be an interesting game. We have been in Bafoussam for some days now preparing for it. We know Feutcheu FC very well, they are a good side with very good players, it is going to be difficult but we want to win”.

The start of the second phase of the championship has not been as planned for the boys of coach Martin Nkabyo. They have picked up just two points from three games so far with the one of their positive being back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this campaign.
Gareth thinks they can build on their improved defensive performance.

“Yes we will have loved to get more points because two points from nine is not good for us. But we want to take the positives from the last two games we played against APEJES and the leaders, Cotonsport who are also the top scorers. We kept two clean sheets. We go into this game with a positive mindset and we wil give our all to get a win”:Gareth concluded.

Their host on Tuesday are currently on a good run of results, they punished Eding Sport de la Lekie by 5-1 last Wednesday to extend their unbeaten run to six games.
