PWD Social Football club of Bamenda has beaten Dragon of Yaounde four goals to zero, to end their 2021_2022 league campaign in style.
Dragon squandered the first scoring chance at the Bamendzi stadium, when Victor Nomo failed to punish PWD for their shaky defending early in the game.
The Abakwa Boys then took total control of the game, and created a litany of scoring chances, with Tchaoua Léger, Mohamed Aboubakar and guilty of wayward finishing.
The curtain raiser came just after the half an hour mark, when Chem Herbert whipped in an excellent left footed cross, which was bundled to the back of the net by Ze Abossolo. PWD took their one goal lead for the break.
The Abakwa Boys were too hot for Dragon to handle in the second half, as Ze Abossolo supplied a fine pass for Chem Herbert to increase tally, before the latter again provided the assist for Ze Abossolo to make it three_nil for PWD before an hour mark.
Coach Stephane Edjangue of Dragon made some tactical tweaks, bringing in Andre Ledoux Junior, Koloto Vivien, Jospin Engola, David Merveilleux and Success Shalom Fofe.
For PWD, coach David Pagou brought on Nyaba Brian, and later on Sonne Franck Junior.
Nyaba Brian was at the finishing end to complete a quick counter attacking move from Chem Herbert, as the Abakwa Boys went four goals up, a score which eventually sanction the game.
Chem Herbert played a role in all of PWD’s four goals (one goal and three assists), as the Abakwa Boys recorded three consecutive wins for the first time this season.
The Abakwa Boys have also extended their unbeaten run at the Bamendzi stadium (six wins and one draw).
