Kick442.com talked to Sam, for an expert analysis on the mouth-watering clash between The intermediate lions of coach Martin Ntoungou Mpile and the leopards of DR Congo under the stewardship of Coach Florent Ibenge.
As we sought to understand what game approach to get from the two tacticians, Sam Che with a vast knowledge of African football gave his appreciation.
«Before I attempt a response to your question I will like to reiterate the fact that both coaches are promoters of the free-flowing Football (Tika taka), but from the look of things, I have the impression that they have both abandoned champagne Football to focus on the results no matter the price. With due respect to players of DRC and Cameroon, I believe both coaches have sacrificed the beautiful and technical aspects of the game to focus on the tactical and physical aspects because they lack the elements to adopt such an approach. From the quarter-finals, all matches will be a final before the finals of the 7th of February. It will be a pretty tide game because I foresee both coaches adopting a cautious approach and observe patiently to capitalize on the opponent’s inattentiveness. It is going to be a cat and mouse game where the team that will exhibit more mental strength and resilience will carry the day with a small margin or through post-match penalties»
The first Quater final game of Total CHAN 2020 Cameroon Vs DRC comes up on Saturday 30th of January at 8:00 pm under strict Covid-19 barrier measures as spectators scramble for just 25% of tickets are made available by CAF per game.
